Feeling the love of Chowda: Chowda has even driven the hardcore MB to drink and even question his own self-worth - Whoa

chowda, i read ur thread on welcoming the mercs onto a&B and saw that it took a year, me and my dad were just wondering did it take a year because they were a team or is that how long it takes team or no team?. i hope were not being pushy.

I'll answer this one for ya.....
It took a year because several of the MERCs agreed to play for that team for at "least" the 2008 season. During that year, A&B and the MERCs ran side-by-side at several of the games and we both enjoyed the way the 2 teams worked together.
After the 2008 season.... that is when things finally "fell into place" and we combined forces.
So there isn't a "year tryout period". The main thing to do is run with us during the games and express your interests to join the team to Chowda and the rest of the guys.

Good to know that trusty Lt Klemann has my back.........
Matt's absolutely correct and well spoken to boot!
There is no set tryout period. It's all about showing up, getting to know the team, playing alongside them, and seeing if the pieces fit.
The MERCs were our friends who played on a different team so after they met their obligations to each other and their sponsors, we took more friends aboard our little crazy train. I've generaled against them, played with them, commanded them, and even generaled against them. Upstanding guys. Good team.
Your not being pushy at all Alex. All it takes is a commitment to the game and a little dedication to showing up and playing with the team. I've played alongside you and noticed you showing up for field work days. You guys have what it takes. Keep it up and you'll get there!
