Bringing one of my own. Trial by fire is always fun! (My first game involved wearing a knee brace and guarding CP for 8 hours straight, no missions. The first and only enemy players I saw all day was a plane, with a few passengers, which was promptly engaged and shot out of the sky by our plane. If i remember correctly we won by copious amounts of points)

seems as though someone was offended by my last post...let me reword it so that the point is there... No matter what General steps into the box...no matter their location they come from...they have to recruit. That is one of the jobs of a General. If they don't recruit the home teams then the other General gets them pretty easily just by asking. I know when I Generaled a national event I made sure I sent recruitment letters to every team that I could think of...some of them were even located in CA. Yes, it's a stretch to send stuff out there and actually have them come out...but that is a good practice to get into...cause when they do come out man is it fun!!! It's not SB's fault if the teams are lopsided...you have to look at who is generaling and whether they did a good job at getting the message out. Corndog, I agree it is the general's duties to recruit, Lord knows you and I have done it enough to know. But there is some requirements put on the head of the game producer to keep the game somewhat fair and sporting, and for those who remember, yes i know what I am talking about with BeBop productions we ran more games than we played two years in a row. That being said, it is still the General's responcibility to recruit. Being out of town, again been there done that, it is hard for someone from out of the area, with little local support or friends to convince the local teams to side with them. I know in the day games I get requests from both sides, very few times, be it Pub Crawling or Nyxx have I heard from the out of towners. This game in particular though it really just seems like the local teams flocked to the Heroes. I do put a large amount of that to AL's recruiting. My fear is this game will be like games past, we wake up Sunday and there are very few targets to shoot at because Saturday was such a whipeout. April pleasently surprised me that Sunday was such a good fight compared to Saturday.

I would put more of it towards the way certain teams and players were treated at the previous events. And that players are hoping they wont have to take matters into their own hands (again) if their general is unable to pull their head out of their backsides to listen to their team. you either play for someone you like or against someone you dont.
