Maybe someone should explain to young Matt that a SB "scenario" game is a round the clock event. The role players are in character off the field many times in order to accomplish their goals on the field. As a previous role player myself I can attest to the importance of staying "in character". Had I not stuck to this necessity I never would have been able to pull of the con. Matt just have fun with it. Join in, act like a goof, and have fun. Trust me, there could be worst places and things you could be stuck in.

My very first scenario game was a 24 hour event run by someone who I used to consider one of the masters of scenario games. The first person i met when I pulled into camp, Trapper himself. Now I have played along side Trapper, against Trapper (way too much) and reffed in games where Trapper was role playing. And I have seen Trapper do some amazing things, the best was when Trapper convinced an opposing General to commit suicide, AFTER we warned the General about 100 times prior togame on not to trust Trapper! Trapper's first comment to me, the game was on when the story line was posted.
No that never stops us from hanging out and socializing, we just have to be careful about what happens.

i will break character every now and then because keeping up the psych for a role is just tedious.
if i were to stay in character all day as my role says to then i would end up getting jumped late friday... because in the comics... spider-man is an ***hole. ESPECIALLY to kingpin. and she-hulk. and wolverine... lets just go with everyone he come in contact with.

My Spidey Sense is tingling it's saying... someones tent is getting webbed... Silly string is on sale! I have been very annoyed in the past by people refusing to drop roles. At DOTI I became anoyed due to the whole, "you can challenge an Immortal to a duel at anytime" rule. It made it hard to come off the field, relax and socialize. Now me being me I was able to do so. And as you can see for this game many if not all the role players have created a seperate entity for the game, even in the forums. Anyways, I believe that everyone will have a good time and that we will find the role players, well most of the role players will be able to sit back with friends and laugh for a bit.
