That's what I'm talking about, Kouza. Recruiting being frowned upon? Tragic.

Well I actually found this post funny because, during the 26 hour game, I was literally called a used car salesman for trying to recruit on the forums. I don't remember your recruiting effort, as that was many brain cells ago, but I do know that there are some out there that literally FLOOD the forums with non-personal and very generic recruiting posts. Just a few weeks ago, we got an email that was sent to NO LESS than 100 other teams (on the SEND TO list). That's a prine example of what NOT to do. If you get on the forums, which is the best way to recruit, you should introduce yourself, explain why you want to win the battle, and explain what THAT PARTICULAR team can do to help you achieve the win. That way, your are showing your potential recruit that you care about the team and you've at least done a little research in to their play style....

I'll admit I have done generic recruiting in the past, hel even if I'm just recruiting for the event which I tend to do even more than recruiting for my own side. I would rather encourange teams to attend and shoot for anyone just to have a good game. I will also admit that back when I was running games I got burned out hitting 20 + forums a day and answering questions. I don't even check here more than once or twice a week unless there is a game I am attending or Role playing, I just have more important things going on in life with work and family. That being said I can say at some games the leadership of the command staff has needed help. Then again I also feel that the way missions are done has been dumbed down some. Nothing against Ronn and Trapper, but pre-scripted mission in 24 hour games don't allow for some of the needed on the fly changes that can take place in a 24 game Role players are not making as musch a contribution as they used to, me included. In the 8 hour games prescripted are fine, not a lot can be done to make the needed adjustments. Again though recruitment for several games has been done through emails and PM's, which is fine and the last several have all been personal requests which I like. Some however were the generic come play for me. Some were so bad I just deleted them. I do agree that several of the SB games it appears as though alliances have been set and if team 1 goes to the blue side then teams 2 and 3 will also go blue which heavily stacks the sides. At several games we have not played against teams by choice, it was because of numbers. Anyways, we will be hitting games at SB's and like A&B we will usually allow R&D to place us where needed unless we choose to role play which always seems to put us against OFU, which honestly stinks just once I'd like to shoot with them. A&B and OMM we have shot along side and against plenty of times. SOVA we shot along side once, SSK well BeBop was on both sides twice and against the rest, again which stinks. CHOPS and LAPD we seem to get lucky enough to shoot with most of the time.
