This looks like it is going to be a hell of a game, I know I am excited about it. Right now we are still planning and working out details, but it looks like there will be at least ten of us attending this event. Problem is which side to join? This has got to be the toughest decision to make, good people and good teams on both sides of the coin. Which side will it be?

I know Pickle, and the Americans would greatly appreciate your support! We had the honor of playing with you at the last 24 hour game, and we had a great time, and would love to repeat it.
With that said, regardless of the side you join it is guaranteed to be a great game.

I honestly mean it, I would love for him to play for Pickle, as you would if say Sickboy was general. I feel it is my responsibility to atleast mention that he should play for Pickle but, know in the back of my mind that regardless of the side he joins, I am just glad to have more people out there to play paint ball with.

I fully understand Kouza and agree but I'm starting to see a bigger picture
There are far too many cliques and alliances in this game and it's creating terribly lopsided games in which neither side is having fun and after all that's the point of why we play.
I understand the reasoning. We love playing with our friends and try to support them but last 12 months have seen us involved in several games that weren't real fun.
We understand that recruitment is part of the game and when our friends need us we try to be there but we also know that the great example set by teams like BeBop, Social Hazard, and even your own team last game is the example to follow.
The lopsided butt kickings aren't as enjoyable as sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the score at the end.
I do not blame you or discourage you from recruiting for your team. Not at all. Just offering my own opinion.

I agree there Chowda, As much as I would love to have everyone play for me....I will no longer be recruiting players/teams to play on my side....Granted I do have a few that have said they will play for me...But I will no longer be sending out request.
No matter which side you play on, you will definately have a good time.

Agreed.
While winning is always great, having fun is the most important part.
And theres plenty of opportunity for me to interact and trash talk! So its a weekend full of win!!!

It is looking like this is going to be a great battle. Doesn't matter what side we end up on. I for one am just looking forward to a good time with some good friends, and i have yet to be disappointed in that regard.

I think you make a good point Chowda. I was on the bad end of the butt kicking. We registered for the other side but was switched to try and even up the game (didn't help much) So I say let the Field decide for us and we will be good with that. I heard a few teams say they wouldn't be back because it was so one sided. I just enjoy playing the game and look forward to seeing everyone again! It will be nice to have a good bunch of BwC back and running together again!

Danger: Opinion Alert!
While I agree Chowda, there comes a point where no one will be general if you can't count on any teams to join you because they want to let the field to decide. While its great to have balanced games, you can't always just have everyone let the field decide, because at least for 26 hour games, you can't plan anything till you know what teams you have, and if you have none, its going to be a very sloppy haphazard game. Some teams should let the field decide for fairness, but its also useful to have some teams step up and declare a side so that the game isn't thrown together friday night at the campsite.
On another note, I'd love you guys to come out and play for me, I could always use more teams. I also know that Coastie is a great general and if you sign with him, you'll not be put to waste.

Pickle makes a really good point in regards to planning and strategy, especially in a 26 hr game. If you don't know who and how many people you have, it is impossible to develop any sort of game plan. That said, It is always about having fun. sometimes we get switched around, but for the most part we usually go with the side that appears to needs our help the most. At the time i don't know what each side has what or what the teams look like, so it is really hard to pick a side. In the end I think we all want to make it enjoyable for every one participating. I know from experience that a close, well fought game is a lot more enjoyable than a lopsided victory.

Here I'll settle it. Whichever team get me on their side will win. Why? Because I'm just that f'ing good. Ask Chowda and the 7 or 8 guys I took on in the tower that fateful night... good times... oh sweet April, come hither my mistress, come hither...
nuts talk aside, BwC has ALWAYS had a blast at Splatbrothers!

I as well agree with Pickle that it would make it very difficult for a general to do any pregame strategizing but on the flipside it would certainy make it more challenging
