What was the total amount of players that showed up? Have not heard much talk since the game.

Literally all we have heard is Silence (Talk About) about the game.

Oh the irony The American General was Shrub, at least to start. He apparently quit during the night game and left. A new guy took over and I forget his name. I played Russian so this is all stuff I heard afterwards. The Russian general was Dustin Lynch (an EPL ref). He did a pretty good job considering he got dumped into the role at the last second. I was impressed with his calm; most people seem to freak out under this sort of pressure but he handled it well. I would guess that the total numbers for the game were something close to 100 players, based on the final battle. The field certainly plays a lot differently with low numbers. I'm used to the battles in the ravine and near the chrono-corner being meatgrinders/who has more paintfests, but this time around there was a lot of back and forth where teamwork really paid off. The Death Dealers and I think S&D made some good pushes down the ravine that I have to give them credit for.

Who were the generals?? I know Shrub... who did he go against? Shrub went up against a guy from down in the Outer Banks, a speedballer that used to play with Mantis. Funny thing is that Shrub was getting beat down all day on Saturday. After getting in for free and getting his paint for free, along with winning the A5 egrip that morning in the paintball eating contest, he was a little frustrated at the end of the day and left without telling anyone. However, a newb stepped up to the plate and took over as general. Not sure of his name, all I know is that he is a nuke on a sub. Anyway, after being down by like 800 points, he ended up winning the game. I'm glad that we posted a scoreboard for the event. Alot of promoters won't do that because teams will quit early if getting beat. This Navy nuke pulled it out of his butt, I thought for sure that the team out of NJ was going to roll them all day on Sunday like they did on Saturday. Before bashing Shrub, I contacted him about leaving early after he committed to general the game. He should at least return the marker to be given away at the next game, all he did was steal from the other players. His comment was the he was dissatisfied, he won the gun fair and square and he wasn't returning to Splatbrothers anyway and not to contact him anymore. Bashing is not my thing, however, he didn't do what he said he would do then gave me a lame excuse.

Seems we are getting only one side of the story here. I think I will hold my opinions until I see both sides represented. Bashing someone, regardless of motivation, is cheap. In scenario paintball, if things are wonky, word will spread and bashing will be unnecessary.

Bashing is not my thing, however, he didn't do what he said he would do then gave me a lame excuse. First, this sounds like a conversation that should have been kept between the two of you. Not thrown out into the open public. Second, for someone who says, "Bashing is not my thing", you sure do a lot of bashing. And asking someone who, "won the gun fair and square", to return it to park for next game is not right. I was trying to keep a good opinion of Splatbrother's Paintball Park by telling myself, "They are still just trying to get the hang of running a park of that size". But it is becoming clear that the new management is just trying to get as much money out of the players as fast as possible, with no care about reputation or continued business. I was unable to attend the 26hr game, but it seems like I lucked out by not going to the game. Now, I have my own issues with the new management. I will not bring them up now. I just wanted to address the "Bashing" from an Administrator on this forum. So, if this is how players are going to be treated at this park, then Splatbrother's Paintball Park has lost my business as well.

I just want to say that SAD had a blast at this event, I thought the refs did a good and management was very attentive. This is a great park to play paintball at and things are only going to get better.
We are all lucky to have such a great woods field in a reasonable drive from VB and DC.
Chad runs a fun game and will listen to comments to improve and build even better games, Bobby and Rob have proven themselves at other parks. Unfortunately you cannot please all the players, all the time.
My mind set is to stay out of the closed door stuff and enjoy paintball. The other players I spoke to all enjoyed the weekend.
See you at Splat for Inchon on the 19th.
