Hey Guys! It was nice to actually meet some of the guys from A&B. Thanks for letting me tag along on missions and stuff. Had a really great time at the game. ;D It was nice to finally be able to walk onto the field and actually find people and have stuff going on.
Oh- and you don't have to call me souleater- It's not really a nickname of mine or anything- I just went by that cuz I figured it would be easier for someone from the forums to know who they were talking to.
Well, anyway, just wanted to drop by and say hey....

Yeah SoulEater was mouthful on the field!
It was great to play alongside you Chief. What did you think? See anything you want to comment on either positive or negative? We're always open to constructive criticism.
Come out for another game soon. I know it's a hike but the field and the scenario games are worth it!

Yeah, it's a bit long and kind of...odd. LoL But yeah, overall it was great- At the beginning it was a bit confusing, being my first big game/scenario. But after I ran the first mission with some folks, and did some other stuff, by midday the overall idea was making a bit more sense. It also helped that by midday, I had been around most of the field with the various groups I was with, so I had a feel for the area. It was kind of intersting though, I was with some of the A&B guys a couple times, not actually on a mission, more like search and destroy/movement suppression. I don't know if it was luck, or if you guys just know the field well enough to anticipate enemy movement, but every time I was on one of these we always ended up right where we were able to cut off and eliminate a good portion of any US forces trying to work around the flanks. But anyway, that's about all I can think of for now- my brain is still kind of in a fuzz. LoL

SoulEater definitely will not hold up in the long run. LOL. It's heck over the radio.
Yeah we ran interdiction most of the day which means it's our job to make a mess of enemy missions and squads. This is a common tactic that I use when in a command position. I usually have a "mission" team, an "interdicition" team, and an "assassination" squad. Keeps all the bases covered.
On another note, yeah we do know the field real well. Benefit of being the home team. After a while you figure out the best routes for moving large forces quickly. Hang out there and you can catch em coming in. This was not a "typical" game though. We were just fortunate.
Hit us up here or on the team forums if you want to run with us again. We enjoyed having you there.

Glad you had a good time Souleater. Yep, the 92 acres has it "nooks and cannies". A lot of times I just stand there and promote chaos and mayhem ;D

Well, I'm going to attempt to make it. I already did the pre-reg thing. I say attempt, because of some past health related issues which have turned this into a fun little gamble- to make it or not to make it... Blug!
Anyway, I wonder if somebody could tell me what's going on Friday evening/night (if anything)- any activities, teams/people that will be there, etc. Last time it seemed most people showed up on the morning of the game, but I was wondering if it's different with an event like this?

Well normally a 26 hour Friday night has a pretty good turnout with about 1/3 to 1/2 of the players showing up for free Friday Night players party. Friday night player party is Free Food, Good Music, Vendors, Costume Contest, and a chance to rub elbows with other teams.
I think Halloween will make this one much more difficult to attend. A lot of us have family or friends to get together with that evening and those of us with little ones have Trick Or Treating to deal with.
What health conditions do you speak of? Remember while paintball is a blast, your health is far more important.

Hmmm.... Yeah, that's why I was kind of curious as to who/what teams are gonna be there Friday- I'm debating whether to go up Friday evening, or just to get there Sat. morning. Because one thing is the issue of "rubbing elbows"- last time I got to meet some people, but I really didn't have much time to actually talk to them and sort things out and actually get to know folks. So that's why I was wondering about Friday. As far as the health issue goes, its kind of a weird 50/50 thing where sometimes it's abig deal, and sometimes it's not. Earlier this year (mid summer) I had a partially collapsed lung- or what the docs like to refer to as a "spontaneous pneumothorax"- Basically my lung partially collapsed for no reason at all. So that one healed up and I thought everything would be fine, but about 3 months later I had a second smaller one. After that my lung is always kind of weird. So like I said, it's kind of like a gamble - whether I'll get there and play and everything's fine, or no. I had the issue at the Monte Cassino game, so we'll just see what happens this time. A lot can happen in 3 weeks.... I've been to a couple doctors - they all say the same thing I said - Basically go ahead and do stuff, be cause it will either be ok or it won't. So yeah, we'll see...
