To SoVa and all the other teams, players, refs, and Ronn and Don - THANKS from the Black Knights www.teamblackknights.com for another great day of paintball! As always, it's absolutely worth the trip to run with you.
I am truly humbled that our little band was awarded MVT for the Japanese. While Jester and I have a number of scenarios under our belts - including three at Splat Bros - my nephew Mark (age 13) had never been to SB and Tony (age 15, same as Jester) had played paintball only once before! The youngsters really worked hard and had a great time. Those of you on SoVa's radio channel heard Tony trying to figure out how to describe the tactical situation on the tower field late in regular play and how to request reinforcements... we laughed about that all the way home, and neglected to tell his folks he chose "B." ;D
To the unknown player who awarded a marker won in the raffle to Tony for the birthday guess -THANK YOU. That was a really great thing to do, and I hope to meet you next trip and shake your hand. Tony was playing with our extra gear, and he is so excited to have his first marker (until Santa pays a visit).
And now a question: were Jester and I the only players having trouble getting the ProBall paint to fly straight? I tried four different inserts in the Freak barrel on my Etek, and Jester tried two different barrels. No breakage problems really - just wouldn't fly straight. Incredibly Frustrating to have to blast away at a target I would usually one-ball!
Thanks again; looking forward to new SB games in the new year.
