Some will call the great one a tool for posting this but it is just out of simple curiosity and that is all. SB is home to many great teams, whether the are small teams or big teams. So Tonto was reading Coyote's post about the awards and it rose a question in my mind:
Who do you the people think was the most influential team to the SplatBrothers park this year. Both on and off the playing field. Who did you look at and sat "Dang they got their crap together."
Tonto promises this will be the biggest "award" that team has gotten all year. The one given by their peers.

I really can't answer this one. several teams Have made SB a very fun place to be. I Talk to alot of the people and watch alot of the teams grow change shift. So to pick one team and say their the best for SB both on and off is hard. Some might think A and B they are the Feild team they host their own work days to help the feild. Some might say Sova. their the largest and the most seen both on and off. Other would say Dead by Dawn. That group is never down and is always out to have fun same as SSK These two groups make it hard to be around and not smile. That helps to keep the game a game and shouldn't be taken lightly. Affection Tho this group is young they too help to keep things light both on the feild and off. They give their everything and try their best to do what they can. both for their Gens and for their feild. I've got to cut this short. Will wants to go to the Feild. So in closing i have to say to pick one team is hard. You'll need to give more info on what your looking for. All the teams that come here get their act together and make an impact on the feild and everyone team or not dose their part to help SB be the best feild in VA.

Tonto,
In taking your question literally, I will answer it in three parts....This is of my personal opinion and is not to be a Representative consensus of my team.
The most influential team at SB this year for me has been the R&D team, Ronn & Don. Their input has been very influential in how I operate, work with my players and interact with many of the people I come into contact with regarding paintball.
The most influential paintball team....Now that is a real tough question. But the one that I interact with most is most likely the one that has given me the most influence and that is A&B, my brothers in paintball.
The one person, who at times is a team unto himself and has had the most influence over myself and shaping our team. Is Davi "Coyote" Velasquez. His influence has guided me, since I first picked up a paintball gun and was instrumental in the formation of our team, growth and its continued success.
To all above and many others, I am eternally thankful to have as friends, comrades and as our paintball family.

Tonto doesn't make mistakes often but in this circumstance he has. Sam's and Aldva's answer made the great one realize he did a crappy job phrasing the question. For that I apologize.
What Tonto is really looking for is what team represents what YOU the people feel is best about paintball this year. Who did you see helping out a mis-fortunate player on and off the field. Who was the team would you like to tell you had a HE!! of a time shooting at and shotting along side. WHO MEANT THE MOST TO YOU.
Whether it's Mercs, OFU.Mosbys Raider, Affliction or A&B. This is a chance to tell them. Tonto was just looking for stories and giving someone a chance to say thank you.

If you showed up at the field more, you might be able to give your own opinion big boy!
Anyway, it was a great year at Splatbrothers. We played many great games and the staff and field continue to evolve for the better. Ronn and Don continue to raise the bar for themselves and keep the players coming back for more.
I think the team that is representing paintball and the homefield best right now is SOVA. They have grown by leaps and bounds, continue to improve their play, have great attitudes, and one heck of a command staff. They were always there for us and the field when needed and I can't think of a better group of guys to have play for you. Al and the guys have put together an excellant unit and I see big things in their future if they continue to persevere.
I'd also like to give props to another up and coming team. That is Affliction. A good group of guys here that are new to the game but fearless in pursuit of experience. They too have a great captain in Mikey PooPoo and I look forward to finally being on the same side as them this year.
There are many other teams that we enjoyed playing with and against such OMM, MERCs, BeBop, Social Hazard, South Side Killers, Mosby's Raiders, OFU, Team Tango Down,
For A&B our second year was awesome. We were lucky to pick up alot of great players this year (Trapper, Shoal, Stiff, Jailbait, TeABag, TRex, Groundhog, the list goes on and on). We played a great game in Florida. We continued to improve our skills and have developed into a decent offensive unit. We played off our homefield twice with great success and we enjoyed alot of great off field time together as well. We ate our share of steak, shrimp, and lobster. Rue has given us a personalized trailer and a we seem to have acquired a ton of gear. So in summary of that, I am both honored and thankful to be a part of A&B.
We look forward to the few guys who are overseas returning and making the circle complete!

It’s the players that represent the team, so there for it would be “Team PLAYER” Without the individual players there would be no teams. Without the individual players there would be no real "FIELD OF HONOR" paintball fields for those of you who haven't learned about Honor. I have a problem with naming any team on any field, reason being, on all teams there is always at least one player that is an undesirable that’s not worthy of any prize or award. I’ve played too many years on oh so many fields with many many different teams to name one team the team to immortalize, there for I say it’s the players not any one team. Sorry Tonto I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for But that's the real answer. Reread Sam's post, I think she understands. It's surly not any field nor is it any field owner. My Vote is for all the players who play for the fun and Honor of playing. Big T

Hey Tonto, I think you will agree with me when I say the team that had the most influence over me, this year, and heck, every year since I was 14, was Team Mentos. Without them every other team out there would just SMELL...
Oh, you wanted me to answer seriously??? Sorry, no can do! hehehe... We miss you Tonto!!!
(Well, there IS some seriousness to that answer...)
