Long time no see everyone. Thought I'd drop by the forums with an interesting concept i found out about recently. Apparently Tiberius Arms has recently perfected and released a new .68 caliber paintball round. That's just what it is too, its not a ball, more like a bullet-ball hybrid. It looks a lot like civil war rifle round, take a look for yourselves: www.tiberiusarms.com/firstStrike.htmlFrom the specs it sounds like a great thing to me, I'm just waiting to see some proof before i consider buying a Tiberius marker. Also It complies with the ASTM so would it be allowed for use at SB or other fields for that matter?

Don't know yet if SB will allow it. I know one of our local fields allows them. They do sting a little more than your normal paintball, but then again, some of the crappier paintballs hurt like crazy on super hot days.... However, I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor in getting a Tiberius marker. The First Strike is about $0.87 a ball versus about $0.03 a ball for quality paintballs. Plus, you need to buy special mags for the First Strike rounds.

Yeah Spuds right.............but I shot them!
Man are they sweet! Amazing distance. Ridiculous accuracy. Phenomonal stuff.
Tiberius was really thinking outside the box and came up with a winner especially for the MilSim crowd.
The two problems I see being a viable loading system to use in other markers and the cost but unlike most, I remember the days of paying $180+ for a case of paint.....
