July 12, 1943:
News has arrived that the Soviet Union has won a battle over the Nazi`s at Prochorowka. German Blitzkrieg has ground to a halt. The German Tanks were humiliated as the Soviet Bear annihilated , the largest armored offensive of the war to this point. Though the Nazi army was hesitant, Hitler has finally ordered an end to the Kursk offensive. ---
Today Utilities, normally supplied by the Italian State around the Vatican City, cease to exist, and to further tensions the Italians have blown up the railroad going into the Vatican City. These actions show that the Axis Powers are not eager to create peace but, to annihilate the Vatican City.
Any humanitarian assistance that the Allied Governments can provide will be greatly appreciated in these dark times.

July 13, 1943:
The British 8th army reports that it has captured both Augusta, and Ragusa from Fascist defenders, today. The quick advance continues to bring hope of a quick liberation of Rome, and freedom for the prisoners of the Vatican City.
Food stores have been quickly halved, and now fear has swept through the city. Envoys have been sent to the leaders of Allied governments for rations of food, and drink.

July 18, 1943:
Advances: Allies take Caltanisetta, and Valguarnera.
Today I sadly regret that the savage ways of man has outweighed the beliefs of a community. Today the first shots of World War 2 in my dear city have been fired. On the third quarter of the ninth hour, three gun shots could be heard through the city, followed by the abrupt sound of sub machine guns, then silence. The victim was Ambassador Ken Harada, our diplomat from Japan. Japan has declined all communication attempts, and has condemned the action, declaring that a state of war now exists between her, and the Vatican City.
