My Dear Children of the Whole World,
It has come to my attention that the German Supreme Commander, and Reich Minister of the Interior have issued direct orders to certain SS Commanders, (that they are to take me into custody). British officers have unveiled two radio broadcasts simply stating that they are prepared to make an arrest, and to imprison me , and top ranking cardinals in Lichtenstein Castle. In the event that this happens my resignation will come into effect IMMEDIATELY, to pave way for my successor. The Papal Committee, and the whole of Roman Catholic leadership is to reconvene in Portugal.
With these things said, I would like to state that the Vatican City upon hearing these threats will be ceasing all communication’s with German Authority. The Vatican will not be pressured, bullied or treated in a manner unbefitting the aura of the holy nature presented by the Vatican, by a power just because said power has made astronomical gains in politics, military manners, and geographical advance.
Any invasion of Vatican City lands by German or Italian forces will be an act of war, and will be treated as such by the Swiss Guard. Any Armaments, or Forces that the Allied leaderships of the United Kingdom, United States, France, Australia, New Zealand, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Canada, or Greece can provide will be greatly appreciated during the trying times ahead, but will, unless ordered by home countries, be used in a purely defensive manner, and will fall under the Command of Heinrich Pfyffer von Altishofen, commander of the Pontifical Swiss Guard.

(OOC: It would be kinda interesting to have a "Sub Team", under each command. Italian for Germany, Swiss Guard for America, whose points count towards their respective allied team. Spawn points being slightly higher up (Middle Tower, and House?), so that it will be more possible to capture the leaders of the two teams (since part of the game seems to be about capturing the Pope, and Italian Leader . Ok now were getting off subject!)

(OOC)More:
1.The two teams would be capped low (10/15), so to not overtake their mother teams, and to ensure the further up spawn point is not to taken advantage of.
2. Teams may get missions to deceive mother teams but, these missions will not negate points from the mother team.
3. To mark color for the players, and referees, but use ovbious colors, Green team will serve under Blue, and Grey (I cannot think of any color that can better go with red, that will interfere with lesser role colors, or referee colors.) will serve under Red.
4. Child teams will receive one medic, one engineer , and one demolitions player. If use of an aircraft is needed, a pilot from the mother team will need to be used (This is to avoid players from children teams taking the mother teams aircraft).
5. To avoid any role players from taking advantage of the insert triangle of their mother teams to avoid capture, children teams are FORBIDDEN to go into said triangles.

there are too many rules in a scenario game to begin with. by doing this you are over complicating the game and it would never go well.
if you want to make an Italy team or a Swiss Guard team leave it to the generals to give an honorable title to a squad or other team on their side. making it a viable strike force or something like that.
Example: G= General I= Italy
G: come in Das Boot I: this is Das Boot, what do you need overlord? G: we have some of our guys pinned down at the Vatican City, they need your support. I: on our way overlord, strike team moving to the location.

I always wanted to see capturable players made viable. Part of your role being you can't "go out in a blaze of glory" or if the capturable role player was shot he had to stay there like a prop, retrievable by either team. If your own team retrieves you, you go to the dead box, like normal, but if the enemy team retrieves you, you've been captured and get taken back to their base for a certain period of time, 30 to 45 minutes. While there your being "interagated" where the game command gives game clues every fifteen minutes your in custody but the flip side is you can be rescued for major points.

the way they did captures at invasion was the player being captured was then considered neutral and was escorted by a ref to game command.

makes the games more interesting. story is over all the same, but changes alittle if mission aren't accomplished. gives role players more of a role. makes teams do more then just run n gun.
these's of course are all idea's and yes it may make it harder and yes clear cut rules. but it make it games interesting and add story line to players.

My Dear Children of the Whole World,
This is the second eve of my learning of the German Supreme Commanders orders. I fear that my decision to seal the Vatican has in fact made me a prisoner of the Vatican. This will not be the first time I feel as such, it feels I have taken one step forward, and then with this war that I have taken two more back.
With That said I will continue my pursuit of keeping the Vatican City free of fascist rule. Today the people of Vatican City heard planes fly over, and out of these planes parachutes. From the parachutes came men of the United Kingdom`s Special Air Service. They have arrived to help train able citizens of the Vatican City, and the Swiss Guard in urban combat. I feel the Vatican City as a whole is doing every thing within its power to prepare for the almost inevitable German attack, that I pray will never come.

June 11, 1943:
Citizen, and Guard Morale is up today, as the Vatican City has gotten news of the United Kingdoms Victory over Italy in both Pantelleria and Lampedusa. British S.A.S operators were relieved from training duties early today, to celebrate , their comrades victory.
The Palatine Guard, who was previously not under pay, will receive a monetary bonus for every month they are on duty. Pay will not be distinguished by rank but, will by uniform throughout the Guard.
