HOWDY fellow paintballers. Played my first game at Splatt Brothers 3 years ago. Went to the Hamburger Hill 'RAW' game this Saturday, had a blast. Had some questions about the Big Game. Why wasn't there a final battle? The sun was out, had a full hopper, and 3 pods of paint. . Ending the game at 4pm caught me off guard as well. lol i was ready to rock on. Usually most big games end at 5pm. Unless we botched every mission was thinking the game was pretty close, a Final Battle is always a good way to settle any doubts about who won and lost. lol besides there fun as Hell. ;D. Well i said my piece. Happy Hunting. Vader Attachments:

They stopped doing final battles for 8 hour games, I forgot why, I think because the players didn't want them in 8hr games.
My only guess as to why it ended at 4 is due to the light/time switch, it hadn't kicked in yet? I dunno.

The last game, "Cold Harbor", ended at 4pm. Final battles haven't been part of the recent RAW series games. One reason I imagine is it increases the amount of missions that can be assigned. A good measure of points is the amount of props your team possesses.

I can't answer officially but I think it's just a change of pace. As far as ending at 4:00.............I'm sure it was just because of Daylight and the fact Daylight Savings hadn't kicked in yet.
"Final Battle" is usually a big point swing and can swing a game. A true measurement being missions and what gets done and in the case of props, collected.
I actually like the change of pace but the final battles were fun............

If they did a final battle which had nothing to do with points, THAT would be a fun paint fest!!
