This is my review on the "Movie" Precious. It contains "Spoilers" However, there is nothing to spoil.
************NOTE***************
I am a huge critique. My review is/maybe/probabablywill/mayeasily offend people.
You have been warned.
Alright forum, let's start off by saying one thing. This movie had an extremely jagged edge. When I inserted the movie into my PS3, I expected a heart-warming tale about a poor, under-privileged girl in Harlem over-coming here hardships to make something of her self. This is what I gathered from what I heard. Since I didn't want to hear the end of the movie, I didn't read the back. So in conclusion, this seemed to be an above average heart-warmer.
On the contrary my dear forum, I found my self not only depressed, but afraid I was going to throw my lunch all over my bedroom wall. The movie it's self contained quite a few flaws. Many parts, made no sense. Such as the random spurts of day dreaming were Clarissa was famous, or the disturbing flash-backs.
The movie is confusing at first, because it drops you into her life with very little background information, and some barely legible handwriting.
This movie had a great purpose, but it was just MUCH too disturbing to enjoy. You couldn't walk away from that movie feeling good about yourself. It really grips you in a bad way, like a bean burrito from taco-bell. Nothing "Good" came out of it.
Precious, did not keep me entertained whatsoever. Throughout the mass of it's integrity it was massively dull, and didn't captivate the audience with any interesting parts.
If it did anything, it taught you that family love is important, and that's a far-cry for something positive. I do NOT recommend this movie to anyone looking to be entertained, captivated, enlightened, or just plain pre-occupied, this movie has the same effect of paint drying that has chapped up bugs in it.
One word that describes it, Disturbing.
If my Review bothered you, I'm sorry but it was my honest to god opinion. Please leave any thoughts you might have, or perhaps a different opinion? Alright, thanks forum.
