We would like to make the following announcement and end some of the rumors and speculation that seem to be going around over this:
The Assault & Battery Scenario Paintball Team has decided to end our sponsorship with Splatbrothers amicably at this time. While we still intend to play at Splatbrothers. We love the field and would love to enjoy some of the camaraderie there, but we are choosing to relinquish our claim to being the home team. It has been a long and successful relationship between Assault & Battery and Splatbrothers and has served us both well in the past. We have no desire to tarnish any of that.
It is time to take the show on the road and its simply unfair to the park to be the sponsored home team and not show up for the great Splatbrothers scenario games due to other commitments. We will simply part as friends in the best interest of the field, the team, and the sport. We have no doubt that there are other teams in the area that would love to have the same consideration they've given us as they have been very good to us over the past 5 years.
We still hold the field in high regards and hope players from all over the country continue to come out and enjoy the field and all it offers. It's a great field.
For those that don't know, our own Trapper Davis in conjunction with A&B has committed to writing and directing the April game. That is a huge win for the field and the local paintball community as he does excellent work. We will, of course, be there for Trapper and support him in his endeavors. As a result, we look forward to a stellar spring game at Splatbrothers.
