"Battle of the Bulge December 1944, the Axis launch an ambitious counteroffensive with the object of regaining the initiative in the west and compelling the Allies to settle for a negotiated peace. The Ardennes Offensive achieved complete surprise on 16 December when the Germans attacked against Allied lines in the Ardennes region. Allied defenses there had been thinned to provide troops for the autumn defensive. The German’s intentions were to drive through Antwerp and cut off and annihilate the British 21st Army Group and the U.S. First and Ninth Armies north of the Ardennes. Aided by stormy weather which grounded Allied planes and restricted observation, the Germans achieved surprise and made rapid gains at first, but firm resistance by various isolated units provided time for the U.S. First and Ninth Armies to shift against the northern flank of the penetration, for the British to send reserves to secure the line to the Meuse, and for Patton's Third Army to hit the salient from the south. This offensive could turn the war for Hitler..." The first event in the SplatBrothers R.A.W. I believe as players, we've got a lot of forces trying to get our attention-the "pros," paintball DVDs, and even our peers at the local field. These forces pull at us, wanting us to be like "them."
Your overall style of play, and the paintball ethics you've chosen to adopt, are choices you have to make. So how does what you choose relate to helping you win games? You can't win if you've been eliminated and penalized, or ejected for wrongdoings. By following a few basic guidelines, a new player can become a contender, all while keeping his or her nose clean.
I also believe before criticizing a referee, you should consider his/her commitment to being physically fit, acquiring knowledge of the game, and applying patience and wisdom. By showing game officials the respect they deserve and making the same commitment to our roles in paintball that they have made to theirs, we all enjoy the sport more.
The "Stars and Stripes" will fly proud over the Ardennes and of course for all of you Germans out there, [shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300]"We Cause Confusion - Chaos - Disorder In Your Ranks!"[/glow][/shadow]
