Scenario is based on mission points for the game win. Each mission sent to the general is worth a certain amount of points that accumulate through out the game. Missions can vary from the normal kind of games played in woodsball. Here are some examples: Snipe the enemy CP. Talk location A and hold it for 30 minutes. Conduct visual recon of location B Use demo on Location C Rebuild location C Conduct airbourne fly by/patrol of a location Retrieve game prop set up ambush position Conduct patrol
Those are just some examples of course. In some of the larger game you also have role players. Role players conduct personal missions and have thier own objectives to complete during the course of the game. Stuff like: Locate person A and make them sing and dance on the picnic table Plant flowers in this area Make contact with this character
But as you can see, it is like nothing else you have played in the paintball world. These games are only limited by the imagination. You can use LAW rockets (approved by the firld owners). Paintball tanks (approved by the field owners and properly insured) costumes land mines morters "flame throwers" grenades etc.
If you are eliminated, you walk to the dead box, get more air and paint, and then reinsert to your CP. Once you have tagged your CP you either get your assignment, or head out to wreak havoc on your enemies. Insertion windows last 5 minutes and they happen every 15 minutes (so at 2:15 you can re-insert to your CP for the next 5 minutes)
That is scenario in a nut shell. I', sure I missed a few things, but the guys on here are more than ready to help out with any confusion. Hope this helped.

Just let yourself go, Bertozilla. Throw yourself into whatever personallity you have always wanted to be, and RUN with it. Everything is possible...and if you screw up, five minutes later you get another shot at it. How great is that? ?

Excellant "quick rundown" by Mushroom and Good advice from Aldva as well. There is a post in this section of the forum by Ronn for the "First Timer" link--> Scenario Primer for the first-timer Scenario PlayerThere is a LOT of good info in there, but it may be a bit intimidating/confusing at times. That's why you should also follow Aldva's advice by stopping by and talking with a few of the more experienced teams. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of Scenario Paintball!!!

Playing in a scenario game is an experience unlike any other. I play in the woods behind buddies' homes, indoor arenas, and Splat Brothers on a walk on day. BUT I have never ever had as much fun as I do when I play in a scenario. A lot of the other times I have played it was mostly about the win with the fun being secondary, but scenario is about having fun first. Winning is only a bonus good feeling later. You will meet many awesome people who love the game as much as you do and possibly more. Scenario players are in my opinion some of the greatest people out there, second only to the servicemen/women of all stripes.
I guess it can be summed up as this: Once you try a Scenario, you will be hooked.
