That is why I got my e-grip with the old board. No issues from day 1.

As of now TTD has 8-9 (ninth is a maybe and I'm dealing with him as i type this) players coming to Market Garden. I should have them all registered by tonight, and ill be trying to learn them some paintball squad tactics so where actually some help to the American team ;D.
Cant wait till March 1st.

The only squad tactics you will need is the ability to raise your hand saying you are out. Those Germans are feisty folks. Seriously though, I hope I can get out there to play (Even if it is against you). Even if I can't get out there, good luck and enjoy the great game.

When I had my A5, I put an egrip on it and went through 4 boards in a month. All bad, one after another. I would consider the R/T if I were you. I sucks up more air, but it's more reliable IMHO.

a good number of our team run A-5s with e-grips. If you'd like, I'm sure one of us would be willing to take a look at it, and help you diagnose it sometime this weekend. We are all very fond of our Tippmanns, and we'd be happy to give you a hand with yours.

It does not do it off the gun, or when it is on the gun and not hooked to any air source.

It does not do it off the gun, or when it is on the gun and not hooked to any air source. Then it sounds like the sear. It would do it off the gun or without air if it were on the electronic side. That does not mean that the board is not the problem, but to me it sounds like it is not. Did you get the A-5 new or used? If used did the person mention anything about shaving the sear to make it shoot faster? If new did YOU shave the sear? There are a few mods on various forums that should not be tried by anyone without a modicum of talent, and there are a few mods that should not be tried ever. I do not ask these questions to try and be rude, but these questions are what saved me a whole lot of time when teching customers' guns. Sorry for jacking your thread McBlue, but it happens a lot around here. We mean well however.

No mods what so ever, i have opened the E-Grip to see how it works, but it went back together with no problems.
No mods were done, the sear HAS been replaced TWICE. However, the same problem remained.

I have to agree with Splatthat if the grip is working ok without air then its probably mechanical. If the sear is new, then it probably leaves 2 more things. 1)The rear bolt (worn edge or shaved) 2)Sear spring.
Also, to echo Chops statement, I would be willing to look at the gun also at Market Garden and like Chops said his guys are very experienced with the Tippmanns too.

If he gets it fixed before friday im buying into the alpha black, if not then im going to start driving the extra distance when i need stuff to PBA
